About Me

Originally from New York, I’ve spent time living in several different countries and am now a still-adapting Pacific Northwesterner. As a “third culture kid”, I often had the sensation of feeling like an outside observer in my world, giving me an innate sense of connection with others who struggle to feel a sense of belonging. I have always had a deep curiosity and desire to understand and explore people’s inner worlds and motivations in the context of the cultures and circumstances that have shaped them.

Becoming a therapist was a mid-career shift for me, with my previous work ranging from international development to research and policy analysis. I am still a part-time consultant working on immigration policy issues, and enjoy being able to use different skills and strengths through the various hats I have the privilege to wear. I love being able to work on the issues I care about at personal and systems levels simultaneously, and I love that therapy is a space that invites us to bring our full, authentic, complex selves to the table. I feel deeply honored to have the opportunity to do this work and be witness to my clients’ strength, courage, quirkiness, humanness, and beauty.
